Image of the Week: AVIC I Beijing

AVIC I Beijing
The image above depicts the Beijing headquarters for AVIC I in Beijing, the angled building in the center. AVIC I, or China Aviation Industry Corporation 1, oversees the production of some of China's most advanced fighter aircraft. AVIC I oversees Chengdu, Shenyang, and Xian, which produce the J-10, J-11B, and JH-7A, respectively. In July of this year a J-10 was placed on public display as a sort of gate guard in front of the building, but unfortunately the imagery available was captured two months too early for the aircraft to be visible.
