CHANDIPUR
The image above depicts one of the launch pads at the Chandipur missile test complex on the eastern coast of India. Various weapons, including the Prithvi II ballistic missile and the Astra BVR AAM have been test launched at Chandipur's Integrated Test Range facilities. Chandipur represents a critical facility related to the development of modern missile systems intended to arm India's military forces. The launch area imaged above is laid out in a triangular fashion, with a control complex and support facility to the west and a reinforced launch pad to the east. There are a total of three launch complexes at Chandipur arrayed along the coast in a north-south line. The image above depicts the central launch facility; the northern launch facility displays a similar triangular layout. The southern launch facility differs in both layout and composition, appearing to contain a high-bay garage, a calibration pad, and two moveable hangars.
